The Skies of McAllister City Park : From time to time, I go to this San Antonio city park to see the skies evolve and capture the colors of sunset. At this time of the day, the deer come out to feed and get close, curious to see someone with a strange food in the hand; my camera. It is safe at night and I enjoy the fresh air and solutide when the sunset show is over.

Guadalupe River State Park, Boerne, Texas : The Guadalupe River Texas State Park is located very close to the small, but beautiful city of Boerne in the Hill Country. It is about an hour short by road from San Antonio after crossing Boerne. This was the first time I visited the park and I was lucky that it was an overcast day. Summers in this area are brutal and the sun penetrates deep. The Gruadalupe river in this season is shallow and gentle, with very clear waters. Early in the morning, the park is quite, not having the visitors arrived yet. As soon as I approach the river, a group of Bald Turkey Vultures looked at me with great curiosity. Large Cypress trees flank the banks of the river, showing proudly their tortous roots. So many things they could tell! I would have stayed with my feet in the water for an eternity.

Morroco in 1987 : Back in the 80s, where we used only film, I traveled to Morroco, a land full of green pastures, hills, and people traveling by foot in the roads. It was a trip to the past, when everything was still made by hand. Weabers would work in the street while scents of spices filled the air. Prayers from the minarets were heard like chants of the clouds. It is a very spiritual land regardless of the regilion they profess. This is a collection of scanned photos from that trip. I still keep that camera, a Pentax that I thought was broken for many years. A will add some more as I scan them.

Please free to comment or add your experiences if you have travelled to this fascinating country. Thank you for visiting.

Your Bio

What we photograph is part of our vision of the world. We express our emotions with it, making photography an art. Sometimes, photography is an open book in which we can find information on the miriad of subjects that travel with us on this beautiful planet. Nature is what moves me the most in my photography, using vivid colors most of the time. Informative or artfull, I try to capture a vision of my world in an instant that will last for a long time. Many times, technique, or better lack of it, gets in the way. However, technique can be learnt from practise, what our souls carry cannot.
